There was even a time when they danced with ribbons and in order for the girls to get their ribbons they had to pronounce the name of the ballet move they were doing. It was Sara's turn in line and the teacher said, "Sara say, %^#%" and Sara naturally looked at her like she had lost her mind. So the teacher repeated, "Sara say, *#@" (only half the word this time) and Sara said it!!!!!!! then she said "good, now say %$#" (the rest of the word) and Sara said it!!!! SO SHE GOT HER RIBBON!

I would not have known any of this had I not been "allowed" to watch and take these wonderful FIRST TIME pictures. I read in the handbook that this is a one time exception during enrollment week ONLY to sit in class with her. I am grateful to have the pictures and to see first hand her having such a great time. I have no idea how I will get through the following classes!
NOW, Sara was having a ball and was so proud of herself, until....

It was time for TAP DANCE! Only, no one told us we needed to bring tap shoes (which we probably wouldn't have bought them for just one "try out" class, anyway. But Sara just stood there CRUSHED that they ALL had tap shoes, except for her! She was done at that point. What little bit she tried after that was not as fun for her because she kept looking at the girls shoes and when she moved her feet like theirs, it did not sound the same!

And class was lined up and dismissed!
Sara cried all the way home and all through her bath because she wanted to go back and dance. I finally got her to hush long enough to explain that she could go back to dance class next week. So it looks like we are SIGNING HER UP!!
